VOCATIONAL TRAINING
THE REPATRIATION SCHEME. Second Lieutenant P. W. Moore lias teen appointed vocational officer for Canterbury, under the new scheme of curative treatment for returned wounded soldiers, Second-Lieutenant Moore is a returned soldier, who has served two years abroad. He secured the M.A. degree with first-class honours at Canterbury College, and has had experience as a teacher ! under the terbury Education Board. He was for some time a patient at the Haniner Springs Hospital. He has taken up his duties, and will be accommodated at District Defence Headquarters. Mr. \V. H. Montgomery, Director of the Department, stated in Christchurch that the vocational officer would bo specially engaged in interviewing soldiers after their arrival at a hospital, with a view to locating them in life, and encouraging them to take up. employment more suitable to their requirements. Out-patients would be also attended to. ' - .
