There was no new development in the shipping trouble to-day, except that the Union Company announced that tho crew of the Waikawa will be compensated for the loss of their personal'effects when the steamer was torpedoed. Trouble is anticipated in securing a crew for' the Ihumata, due to sail for New Zealand via Newcastle.—Press Assn.
