Rome, December 21. M. lliliujioff, the ex-Russ'inn Foreign Minister, staled in an interview that Russia is threatened with the most, appalling catastrophe in history, and Allied intervention is imperative. A small effort would have saved Russia a year ago, but to-day a strong t-rniy is required. Ninety-nine per cent, of (he population, including the Moderate Socialists, is in favour of Allied intervention.—Eeutor.
