THE FRENCH MISSION
ARRIVING AT AUCKLAND TO-DAY. The Frcneh Mission, of which the distinguished soldier General I'aui is the head, is expected to nrrivo at Auckland to-day. They will bo received at the northern city, .by the Hon. W. 11. Horries and the Hon. A. M. Myers, on behalf of Iho Government. While (he mission is touring New Zealand, Captain Bryan, military secretary to the Commandant, and Mr. 11. Bairr, of tho Tourist Department, will bo attached to it. Following are members of the party M. Andre Siegrfried, general secretary of the mission, is a doctor tf literature, professor at tho College (f Political Science, Paris. M. Bader is assistant secretary. M. le Commandant d'Andre Is A.D.C. to .General Pau. M. Corbicre, a cattle and horse breeder of Normandy, represents agriculture, M. Leclercq-Motte is a wool munufatv' turer of Roubaix. | M. Mathieu is a silk manufacturer of Lyons. Mr. Meadows Smith is the British Consul attached to the mission by the Imperial Government.
