Tho Canterbury-Wellington representative cricket match was commenced 'at iiagiey Paik in fine weather and on a good wicket. Canterbury took first strike, but good bowling by Hiddleston and timid batting saw seven wickets down for 94 runs. At five o'clock the score was 16,1 runs for eight wickets.'
