GROCERY STORE ROBBED

Auckland, December 17. Thode Brothers' grocery store at Avondale was broken and entered during tha week-end, goods of the value of .£4O being stolen. The indications are that a cart was used to remove the booty.
■ In connection with the appeal for funds for the local Returned Soldiers Club, the manager (Mr. J. I. Fox) announces that he has just received a donation of from the Hutt Ladies Patriotic Guild, Alterations in tho Eastbourne ferry service time-able for to-day and Thursday are advertised in this issue.
