December 15, 5.5 p.m.) Washington, December 14.i The General Naval Board has recommended the United States / Government to' have a Navy equal to any other naval nation in the world. Admiral Badger, of the Naval Board, argued before tho Naval Committee of the House that it would bo necessary for tho.United States in 1925 to possess a Navy equal to any other Power in the world.' Prior to August, 150 German submarines and seven Austrian submarines had been sunk. Tho. Germans then had built 331 submarines, but on August 1 onlv 111) were available for operations.—Aus.-N.Z.
