RECRUITING BRANCH
COMPLETING ITS WORK. The' Recruiting Branch, known within the Defence Department as A.G.2, is engaced now in completing its records and putting the finishing touches to the work of the last two years. The magnitude of tliis Department's operations are indicated by the fact that there are nearly 200,000 file?, each representing a soldier on a reservist, to he checked and completed. Files being received , from the military camps and the group offices. The active work of the Recruiting Branch is nearly at an' end, but the re-i cords will have .to bo preserved for many, years to come. They will he referred to in the future, to establish dates of enlistment, periods of service, and other facts to which men will attach much importance. But the big staff that has been enniloved by the Recruiting Branch during die last two years will not be required when Hie files have been completed. An officer in charge and one or two assistants probablv will be able to do all that is required.
