OFFICERS' PAY
, NEW SCHEDULE r.PBEPAEED. .. For some time a special committee of senior officers of the Defence Department has been -preparing a, revised schedule of pay and allowances for officers of Hie Staff ami the Expeditionary Force. The object of the inquiry was to~removo some .of the existing anomalies, and to brin? the pay of Hwv Staff qflicwn up to that of officers in the Expeditionary Force. One of the amendments to be. made, is that married officers of the Staff are to recive 3s. a day mnrricd allowance. Officers of Hie Staff arc to be praded. with increases after tvv> and four vea'rs. ot service. Details of the scheme cannot yet be made imblic- a= come questions raised have not: yet been settled.
