PRESBYTERIAN MOVEMENT IN AUSTRALIA. During the sittings of the (ominission of the Presbyterian Church of Victoria, recently concluded, Professor D. S. Adam submitted a draft outline of (he educational policy of the Church, Professor Adam added that it was propped to raise during five years the sum oi' .£250,000 as a. wur ttiankofluring to meet the cast of providing adequately for religious instruction in State schools, and to supplement the work i.t present being carried out at the kindergarten, sub-primary, and secondary schools, and colleges at jirPsent subsidised liy iho Presbyterian Church. Tt was Announced that already two (.'entlemen hud promised to contribute .£2OO a year ouch for n period of five yi-ars on (he condition that ,£'50,000 was subscribed towards the fund during the next twelve months. Should the amount asked for be fully subscribed, it .will bn allocated as follows:— '10 per cent, towards religious instruction in State schools; 40 per cent, towards nesting the existing secondary schools; 10 hit cent, towards kindergarten schools; lft per cent, tow.ir.ls scholarships: nnd 10 per cent, towards establishing addition.il secondary schools.
