The engagement is announced of Major Frank 0. Koobel, D.5.0., North Staffordshire Regiment, -fourth son of Mr. and Mrs. 0. Koebel, Bishopsteinguton, South Devon, and Mary, eldest daughter of Mr. and Mrs. G. Gee, of Eastbourne, England, and Wellington, states a London correspondent. A London correspondent of October 15 writes that on October 9 the death occurred at St. Margaret's, East Grinstead, of Sister Hannah Mary, S.S.S.M. (Mary Irving), second daughter of the lnte James Irving, M.D., of Newark, Notts, and Christchurch. Coming to Erigland twenty-six years ago, Miss Irving joined Dr. Neill's Sisterhood, and continued an active worker up to tho time of her deßth, which-was due to heart failure. For the last few years sho had not enjoyed robust health. The funoral took placo at East Grinstead.
