MAYOR. OF AUCKLAND ASKS FOR PRECAUTIONARY MEASURES. By Telegraph—Press Association Auckland, November 25. The Mayor (Mr. Gunson) has telegraphed to the Minister of Health as follows: —"The Makura is due in ,i week. She has been delayed owing to influenza at coaling porte. I hope you will not allow her to berth until your officers have reported fully to you, and if influenza is on board that you will consider suitable restrictions regarding quarantine, if necessary. The community is very sensitive regarding oversea ships."
