LOSSES DURING THE WAR, (Rec. November 24, 11.5 p.m.)
Washington, November 23. General Maroh announces that General Pershing has authorised the dispatch of homeward ..troops n °t needed for the army of occupation. The total number of Americans killed in the war was 36,151, the wounded numbered 179,626, and the prisoners and the lost 21G3.
The German prisoners captured num. bereel 44,000 and the guns captured 14(10.
The American Army advancing .on Germany is heading for Cobigr.iz, and is expected to arrive on December 1.
The demobilisation of the home camps is proceeding, steadily.—Aus.-N.Z. Cable Assn.
