AFTER THE WAR
GOVERNMENT PROPOSALS FOR ' MUNITION WORKERS. London, November 11. Dr. Addison, Minister of Reconstruction, is to make a statement to-morrow in Parliament concerning unemployment donations to soldiers and war workers, but meanwhile the -Government urges that there shall be no immediate general discharge of Munition workers. It proposes instead that abolition of. overtime and the substitution of time-work for piecework, also the reduction of hours. The Government guarantees a mininmm for men of 305., for women of 255. furthermore. the Government has adopted a temporary non-contributory unemployment donation, pending"tha introduction of a general contributory scheme. Under the temporary scheme the minimum is thirteen weeks. Unemployed men will receive 21s. and women 205., plus allowances for dependants.—Aus.-N.Z. Cable Assn. WAR TO PEACE., London, November 11. Tho Press Bureau reports that the Ministry of Munitions has issued an official notice to contractors and munition workers outlining a scheme for transforming that industry from wor to peace.—Aus.-N.Z.
