A BILL INTRODUCED.The Military Decorations and Distinctive Badges Bill, introduced in the House of Representatives yesterday, provides thafaave with the written permission of the Minister of Defence or by way of testamentary disposition, it.shall not be lawful for any,person "to sell, exchange, pawn, pledge; give away, or otherwise' alienate or dispose of any military de-, coration, or to purchase or accept by ( way of exchange, pa™, pledge, or other alienation or disposition any military decoration." ,'.,,• i I The penalty for a, breach of tins law in to be imprisonment for a period not exceeding six months or a fine not exceedin" J:SO. A licensed .pawnbroker so convicted may be deprived of his license. The by regulation, may. define badges to be worn only, by membera, of societies limited to persons who Have served in His. Majesty's forces, the clause protects the badge of (he Returned Soldiers' Association.,, ~ , ' Provision is made for the official recog,nition.of the, Boy Scouts' Association and for the recognition of ..the scouts badges, and uniforms. The uniform and the badges are to be protected.
