LEAVE FROM CAMP
AS EXTENDED SYSTEM. "In consequence of the departure of troops beinj, suspended during the _ influenza outbreak, the Defence authorities have arranged to grant leave without pay until January to any soldier now in camp whose services are required . for farm,or industrial work," said tho Minister of Defonce in the House yesterday. "So far as members of the Forty-fourth and Forty-fifth Reinforcements are concerned, the leave will be granted subject to cancellation in the event of embarkation being arranged. "Application for leave should be made direct to the Camp Commandants, who are permitted to grant leave where satisfied that the services of the men aro required for farming and industrial purposes. The leave is subject to the approval of the medical authorities. Hallway fa-es will be paid to the homes of the" men granted leave."
