TWELVE RETURNED SOLDIERS
DRAWN IN TUB BALLOT. Twelve returned soldiers who had been balloted by mistake were appealed for at (he Military Service Board yesterday. The appeals wore made by the Director of Personal Services, for whom it was explained that tho men's names had somehow got' into the ballot in error. All thn appeals were allowed. Tho men were:—Thomas Taylor, milker, Waimate West; Thomas Hastings, gunn<;r, Brooklyn, Wellington; Harold Thomas, labourer, Wellington; Thomas Cox, labourer, Taurnnga; Arthur Foster, ploughman, Gieborne; Willie Edward Bnyd, driver, Mastcrton; William Stuart Spenrs, bricklayer, Hastings; Claude O'Flnherty, labourer, Tolcomnrn Bay; Arthur Miles, bushfeller, Wangamii; Herbert Edward Vance, carpenter, Wanganui; Lena Hemu, labourer, Auckland; and Charles King, labourer, Bluli.
