LADIES' BILLIARDS
Last night at Aleoek's rooms the ladies' billinrd-di.ser tournament wns brought lo n close, the winner proving to be Mrs. Kilminsler and Hie runner-up Miss Leslie. Before Hie finals could' lie commenced then., had firsl to be played n game between Mrs. Walkins and Mks Leslie, who had tied for their section. When last (hey mel Mrs. Walkins had tho pleasmo of 'vimiing, bul this time slip suffered defeat.. Airs. Walkins was a.little nervous; Miss Leslie was cueing well, and secured her points comfortably. Tn the finals play was exceptionally even, both players going neck to neck for about three-parts of the game. When Mrs. L'ilminster drew away, winning by some 20 points. This lady has competed for years past without success, and her win this year -was a popular one. Miss. Leslie, too, came in for high praise for the excellent effort she put up. The manager of Aleoek's presented the prizes, and was thanked on behalf of the ladies for the excellent arrangements his firm had provided.
