CAMP NOTES

The 50th Specialists Company and 45th Mounted Rifles were to.move to Papawai yesterday. Lieutenant R. J. King, N.Z.D.C, has been promoted to the temporary-rank of captain. Cpl. A. R. Cobcroft, A Coy., 50th Reinforcements, has been appointed sergeant. The following temporary appointments have been approved by the Camp Commandant at Featherston:—Cpls. J. H. Paterson, and T. W. Hungerford, 46th M.R., to be. temporary, sergeants; Ptes. S. J. Weston, L. H. Benjamin, and E. J. Bovaird, E Coy., CI, to be temporary lance-corporals; Sgt. H. C. Mac Gibbon, C Coy., 48th, to be temporary Q.M.S. . Tho under-named, having qualified as assistant instructors in physical and bayonet training, are entitled to wear the badge denoting same:—Cpls. E. K-. Harris and P. K. Elvy, S.P. and B.T. Class. Pte. S. A. Bennett, Special Training Class, has been appointed-to the temporary rank oi ! -sergeant. The. following temporary f-ppointments havo been approved by the ''amp Commandant ' at Tcentham:— A Company,

51st Reinforcements.—Sgt. J. W. Bird, to be company sergeant-major. B Company, 51st Reinforcements.—Sgt. E. W. Cloke. to be company sergeant-major. C Company, • 49th Reinforcements.— L.-Cpl. H. F. Vincent, to bo corpoiral. The 'lGth Infantry Reinforcements, A, B, C, D, and E Companies, will move to Trentham by road on November 7.
