ACCOUNTANT STUDENTS' SOCIETY

Mr. J. L. Arcus (vice-president) occupied tho chair at the monthly meeting of tho above society hold on Wednesday. Two interesting papers wero read, the first, by Mr. J. L. Grifliri, B. Com., on "Verification of Assets," and the second by Mr. G. J. J. Foil, F.T.A., N.Z., on "A System of Costing Used in a BootFactory." Both papers gave evidenco that the writers had devoted great care in tho compilation of tlipir essays, and 'tli! subjects were treated in a 'tear ami practical inannor. At tho conclusion of each reading numerous questions wero asked by the members, ami a hearty vote of thanks was accorded to (ho writers of tho papers.
