Christchurch, October 25: At a largely-attended meeting of the Canterbury 'branch of the Amalgamated, Society of Railway Servants, the following resolution was unanimously carried: "That this large moeting of the Canterbury branch of tho A.S.R.S. urge upon the executive council to continue to press for not 'less than 2s. per day flat rate inereaso. and time and c, half for night work; members present pledge themselves to stand by the executive in whatever measures are used to compel the Government to recognise the justice of the claims."
