MIRAMAR BOROUGH COUNCIL 1> L_ The fortnightly meeting of the Miramnr Borough Council was held lust night, Mr. S. H. Underwood, Deputy-Mayor, presiding. A letter was received from the Wai'sor Bay Swimming Club asking the council to grant them a site on the Worser Bay beach for n new clubhouse. The council approved of the plans submitted, after making certain recommendations, and granted land at the foot of Awa Road. Deturns wore received from, the corporation tramways traffic manager relating lo checking car? on the borough lines. Of forty oars checked in three months no case of non-payment of a fare was found. A special mooting of the council wns afterwards hold to consider and settle the balance-sheet for the year' ending March 31, 1018, and certify to its correctness.
