. o Tho annual meeting of the .Hataitai BatUingf Club was held on Tuesday. 'Die annual report stated that tho balancesheet disclosed a surplus of &'£> lGs. Id., in spite of heavy expenditure on repairs, etc., amounting to .£ll 13s. The membership had increased by 15. The roll now showed 71 life members and 105 ordinary members. The roll of life members has been closed. . The. following ' officers were elected:— Patron, Dr. A. JK. Newman, M.P.; president, Mr. H. J). Edwards; vice-presi-dents, Messrs. G. Sadd, E. A. Butt, G. Haliiday, l> , . W. Fnrkert, G. Penney, H. Linnc.V; committee, Messrs. H. Henderson, A. Buckmnste;-, W. Edwards, C. 8011, G. Jones, J. Peltigrew, 1 , . Renonf, P. Edwards; secretary and treasurer, Mr. T. Cunliffe; auditor, Mr. J. L. Arcus (reelected).
The incoming committee were recommended to consider the advisability of increasing accommodation lor boys-and givls.
