ADVANCE IN PALESTINE
(I'ec. October 22, 8.15 p.m.) Cairo, October 21. Mr. W. F- Massey, writing from Tripoli on October 18, says:—"Armoured cars and the British Yeomanry occupied that town on October 13 unopposed, the Turks having previously evacuated it; At the time of writing some of the Jirifish and Indian infantry forces have Arrived. The troops everywhere hav: 1 k?en splendidly received by Ihe population, which is overjoyed that tho Hrifisii have delivered them from the Turkish yoke. The Yeomanry and Indian cavalry entered Horns on October 15, IhV Australian Flying Corps having bonilwd the Turks, who lied after burning tho railway buildings.
