' BEIRUT AND. BAALBEK. (Rec. October'l7, 10.30 p.m.) London, October 16. An official dispatch from "Palestine states: "At the occupation of Beirut on October 8, we toolc prisoner sixty Turkish officers and six hundred men. Our armoured car batteries entered Baalbek on October 9, and ascertained that five hundred Turks had surrendered to the inhabitants.
