VICTORIA COLLEGE COUNCIL
Tho Victoria College Council met last evening. Mr. C. Watson presided, and there were present also Messrs. W. A. Evans, F. W. 0. Smith, P. Levi, R, A. Wright. M.P., R, H. Bakewell, R, M'Callum,' W. S. La Trobe, and Professor D. M. T. Sommerville.
The council agreed to the recommendations of the Professorial Board to (a) a proposed class in industrial law;' (b) the proposed committee on the question of the interchange of teachers. It was resolved that the council snould adopt a proposal of the Professorial Board to endeavour to arrange with tho S. A. Rhodes Trustees that a trial be given to the scheme for a research lectureship. Messrs. Morton, La Trobe, Evans, and tho chairman were appointed a committee to Ittend to the matter.
