M'liojizie, I). H. Jones, and E. Tovey; ■ A sum of £30 was ; voted to the Petone Technical School." The engineer reported- that the wet p'aatlier brought down several rather large slips on tlio pipe track, but villiout doing '■ any other- damage; The season is now approaching when it will bo necessary to exercise great care with the water supply. An inspector will be put on to inspect • the whole borough for leaking taps, and inspectors should be .'appointed. to ..patrol .tlio.. borough.' at night to see that no undue waste take's place through garden hosiiig. Hatepayers . and others could.help in this matter very materially- by reporting such cases. :. •Tiie inspector's report included the following' 'Motor Traffic: Thirteen cases wore before the Court on Sep- . tember 19, convictions being sustained "iii each; case, aiid "fines imposed.' Other ■ cases will come before tho Court l this month. Bakehouses:'l have made an inspection of nil tho bakehouses in the borough, and find that, they were in. good , and clean order.
