MOTOR-CAR OVERTURNED
OCCUPANTS INJURED. . By Tolegraph-I'resa Association Hawera, October 12. A serious accident occurred near the Normanby dairy factory early _ this morning. J. Ruseell, a taxi proprietor, was motoring a party of nine from Ellham.'to Hawera after a dance, and c-no of the back tyres blew out. This was followed by a succession of blowouts, causing the car to overturn. It completed a somersault and then lighted itself. Fortunately tho occupants wero thrown clear, but all suffered injuries. Those brought to the Hawera Hospital were: Misses Ada Dunn (right collarboue broken), Marion Dunn (both collarbones broken), Miss Turner (right foot injured), Messrs. J. Russell (injuries to face) and Whi Maker (mostly head bruises). All the patients aro doing as well as can be expected. Others taken to Mrs. Walsh's hotel at Normanby were: Miss Madge Dunn (unconscious), Miss Walsh©, Miss O'Connor, and Miss Tong (all three suffering from shock and bruises). The car was considerably damaged. Tho hood was down, and this prevented more serious results.
