C 1 CAMP SPORTS
On Wednesday last the cross-country event in connection with the CI Camp sports was run off. Tho course was about '21 miles, and the conditions were that all men should start, points being given for first, second, third, and all who completed • the run. Privato Reichenbach, of B Company, was easily first, aiid a good percentage . of the starters finished. A pleasing feature was the number of "triers," some of them being physically not quite fit, but they came on willingly, and were duly counted in the fold, E Company gained 11 points, A and B Companies ending with 4 each. The first heats of events will bo run off beforo sports day, leaving tho semi-finals and finals to bo competed for on Tuesday, October 15. All friends will be welcomed at Tauherinikau oii that day.
