The action of the Board of Govern- : ors of the Chrisfrhurch Technical Cpl- '■ logs in granting leave of„absence to its , accountant, Noel GoldsbnVy, during his ! term' of imprisonment for refusing _ to 1 submit himself for medical examination brought forth some severe comment at a meeting of the Canterbury branch of the■ Returned Soldiers' Association, and the following resolution was eventually carried:—"That this associa- , tioii expresses its surprise that a public ■ body should act in such a way as the Hoard of Governors of the Technical College has clone in'' granting leave to Goldsbury, and appreciates the attitude- which has been taken by the ' Cliristchurch City Council."
