A WEDDING AT WHITE HOUSE
A wedding at the White House, Washington, is always something; cf an event. However, when the fifteenth bride was married there on August 7 the ceremony-was of the simplest. The bride was Miss Alice Wilson, a idece of President Wilson, and she married the Rev. Isaac S. M'Elroy, the father of the bridegroom being the officiatiiig clergyman. The ceremony took place in what is known as the Blue I-toom of the White House, and was attended by only 16 guests, including the President and Mrs. Woodrow Wilson. Almost ever. , ; woman present, with the exception of Mrs. Wilson, who wore orchid-coloured chiffon, was gowned in georgette crepe, the bride's dress being also of this material. Incidentally, too, mothers and daughters were alike in wearing light-coloured dresses. The bride's mother's gown was of flesh-tinted georgette crepe, and the bridegroom's mother matched the bride by wearing white georgette crepe. This latest wedding is the third at the ■ Whitß House since Mr. Wilson became President. ■ • :
