"DADDY LONG LEGS"
"Daddy Long Legs," tho clover and humorous adaptation for the stage of Jean Webster's charming story, "Baddy Long Legs," was revived for tho third time in Wellington by tho Kathlene M'Donell-Charles Wnldron Company at the Grand Opera Houso last ovening, before nn audience that enjoyed every moment of the entertaining play. It is scarcely necessary at this stago to go into details about tho fascinating play or its performance', as both are so very well known in Wellington. Miss M'Donell, as Judy Abbott, the waif, whose education is secretly undertaken by Jervis Pendleton, is one of those dcop-cut characterisations which folk remember. With her quick responsiveness and temper, and her burst of sunshine. Miss M'Donell gets right to the heart of the. audience and stays thero. Mr. Wiildron's performance as Jervis Pendleton is one of those quiet cultured studies that fit the American actor so well. Mr, Kenneth Brampton, as Jimmy M'Bride, Mr. Charles Brown as Cvrus'Mykoff, and Mr. J. P. Wilson ns Abiner Parsons, and subsequently as Walters, gave valuable support on the male side. Miss Emma Temple as Mise Pritchard and Miss Minnie Engler as Mrs. Semple wore also admirably fitted. "Daddy Long Legs" will bo played again this evening, and to-morrow tho season (and the New Zealand tour) will conclude with a performance, of that fascinating play, "Romance."
