NEW ZEALAND PRICES
Sir,—A' great deal has been said lately about the prices New Zealand is .getting for tho produce, wool, etc., from England. I understand these prices are arranged by the New Zealand Government with England. Now we are charged by some of our Labour friends that wo aro taking advantage of the war conditions to exploit tho Old Country, and are most unpatriotic. Would you allow me a little space to point out to these gentlemen who make these charges that the "boot is on tlm other foot?" Have they considered for one moment what England is charging us fur what we aro most in need of? CloLhini!. boots, building material, seeds, <>t(\—in fact, everything has gone up to an enormous figure— 100 per rmiL is nothing. Tho rise in prices is s'ill jjjoinp, on, and is a "fieabite" to tln> advance iu our productions that England accepts as a reasonable war prion.— l am, etc., AN IMPORTER.
