Hokltika, October 3. • This afternoon, at Humphrey's Gully, the largest pontoon built in this district lyas 6uoce6sfully launched, in connection with the Chambers enterprise, an tmportant dredging proposition of the Westland Gold Prospecting Syndicate in the Arahura Gully. Mr. David Ziman, managing director, de'ivered- a short address, and complimentary speeches were made by the county chairman .of Westland and the Mayors of Hokitika and Kumara.
