White, Mam Body, whose death has been recently reported from France, was decorated with the French Mcdaillo Militairo. Tjater on ho received the medal for distinguished bravery under fire on another front. After serving continuously in I' ranco for a further period of ten months, Sergeant White again distinguished himself by remaining with tho battery under heavy fire, and was decorated wit l the D.C.M., and promoted to the rank of sergeant, which rank ho occupied continuously in tho firing line until he met his death. The recipient, 111 acknowledging the gift and expressions of esteem, briefly reviewed his lengthy association with the committee, the amount of timo devoted- to education, by the chairman, and the important works carried out at the school grounds.
