FATAL STREET ACCIDENT. By Telegraph—Press Aflsbeiation. Auckland, October 1. ' . Owen Michael Tarry, a single man, a (labourer, was ' crossing Pitt. Street, whon lie staggered and fell, and a twohorse wagon, driven by Herbert Burt passed over his body. He died in a few minutes. . > PECULIAR DROWNING CASE. Cisborno, October 1. An inquest was held to-day on the body of Mary Hamilton Jensen, tailoress, who was drowned under peculiar circumstances. She was s,cen apparently wading at Waikarao _ beach. Later, her body was seen floating half a mile out, and when recovered life was extinct. The body was fully clothed, and tucked in the blouse was a marriage certificate, which showed that deceased was the" wife of Carl William Jensen, seaman, of Khandallah. The inquest was adjourned' to enable the marriage certificate to be produced and evidence to be obtained as to whero it was found. A SOLICITOR'S DEATH. At an inquest touching the death of Arthur Cecil Rolleston, Mr. W. G, Riddell, coroner, found that death was caused by injuries received through deceased falling in Manners Street on Friday evening. . At the iinquest it was stated that deceased was a solicitor, 51 years of age, that he had recently practised at the Chatham Islands, and that his wife lived in England. The house surgeon at Wellington Hospital said that.when 1 deceased was admitted on Friday evening his head was badly bruised, and was partly covered with blood. His condition grew worse, and ho died on Saturday afternoon. Other evidence was to tho effect that deceased fell on tho kerbing just after crossing Manners Street.
