MR. MACK'S CAMPAIGN

Mr. M. J. Mack addressed a meeting of the electors of Wellington Central in tho Willis Street Schoolroom . last night. The room was much too small to contain tho people who wished to hear tho candidate, but the meeting was quito orderly, .and a. lot of questions, some of them hostile in character, wero asked. Every question of whatever character was answered by tho candidate. Mr. J. R. Burley presided. The most "intenso" of the questions addressed to the candidate wero those in which it was alleged that tho candidate had official relationship with the "P.P.A." Mr. Mack replied that he was not a member of the P.P.A., nor was any member-of his family. Ho criticised also the hole-and-corner method selection of the Labour candidate which had to be observed, under the, rules of tho Labour Representation : Committee. '

. Tho. meeting was wholly friendly in character. i
