SAILORS' FRIEND SOCIETY
A very much appreciated concert was given by the Now Zealand A 7 ariety Entertainers at the Sailors' Friend Society on Tuesday. The performers received many encores. The helpers were: —The Madames Audiivwoqd, Skewes, and. Carter, and Miss AudinVood, and Messrs Lansdown and Jones. Mrs. Skewos was at the piano. Mr. Moore dehnted on "Temperance." A. vote of thanks was moved to Mr. E. Newman, M.P., for his sper.did efforts on behalf of the dependants of. the torpedoed sailors. The conum drum competition prizes came from Karori. , ■ ■ .
