MAGISTRATE'S COURT
: A CITIZEN'S OBLIGATIONS. Before Mr. F. V. Frazer, S.M., in the Magistrate's Court yesterday morning- Daniel Flynii was charged with failing to answer questions put to him with respect to his enrolment in the reserve. Sergeant Matheson and Constable Smith gave evidence that they were in Molcsworth Street on Saturday evening," when they saw Flynii standing outside a hotel with several companions. When ,Flynn saw the police officers he remarked: "Get your tickets ready, buys." The accused was asked to show 'his papers, and refused to answer the questions put to liim % and was arrested. It was shown that Flynii was fifty years of age, had sous at the front, and some sons who had returnedfrom the war. The Magistrate, after commenting on the obligations of citizens in answering questions put to them in respect to enrolment, convicted and lined Flynn 10s.
