Messrs. Dalgety and Company, Limited, Palmerston North, report' holding their monthly sale on Thursday., and submitted a.very good catalogue to a full bench of buyers. ]j ides sold well and were firm at last sale rates. Competition for calf skins of all weights was particularly keen, record prices being obtained. Quotations: —Ox, heavy, lljjd.; ox. medium, lljd.; ox, light, 10} d. to lid.; cow, heavy, 10 3-Bd.; cow, medium; IOJd. to 10{d.; cow, light, 93d. to 10 3-Bd.; cut and inferior, 8 l-Bd. to 9}d.; bulls, 8 3-Bd. to BJd.; horse hides, 13s. 6d. to 165.; yearlings, 9 3-Bd. to 10 3-Bd.; calf skins, 101b. weight, 155.; calf skins, 81b., 13s. 10d.; calf skins, 71b., 11s. 2d.; calf skins, 61b., 10s. North, report:-At our . salp held on Thursday, September 19, we offered a large catalogue, comprising 2700 calfskins, and JCO large hidee, and the usual quantity of tallow and sundries to a fair attendance of. buyers.
