Asithe result of a conference between tho South Island Dairy Association and the Factory Managers' Unioiij it has bc.?a agreed that the present rates of pay shall stand, but that tlie war bonus of 10 per cent, shall be increased to 15 per cent, for grades Ito 5, and/to 20 per cent, for grades 6 to 10. The wages range from £402 for factories making over five hundred tons to £4 per week for those making under thirty tons. The agreement, which will'be, made into an award, has a currency of three years, or till six months after peace is made, whichever is the earliest. ;
