KAROKI CEMETERY

Sir,—l wc nt to the Karori Cemetery last Thursday to do some 1 -gardening m the Church of England portion, and came across two- well-dressed young women picking flowers from the graves. When I overtook them and saw them picking them from my plot I remonstrated with them very plainly, and told them that they ought to know better, that they looked as if they should, that it was my ground, and I had come there to work. They quickly and shamefacedly went away, each carrying a bunch of sprujg lowers. I hope those young women will see ,th» or hear of it, and find some better occupation.—l am, etc., _
