It adds that' such absurd attempts to shelter a particular Church are, in the council's opinion, inimical to the weltare or the country. , The council atao resolved to protest acainst the introduction of gambling methods for the raising of funds for patriotic purposes, the executive being instructed to formulate a comprehensive series of motions on the whole question of gambling.
