CRYSTALATE CUP CHAMPIONSHIP. This contest, which is the inter-club championship of the Wellington Province, commenced yesterday evening at Alcock's rooms; The first game was to have been between Mead, of tho Potone Working Men's Club, and James Brackenridge, of the Post and Telegraph Club. Unfortunately, through a misunderstanding one of these players did not make an appearance. The second game was between Tucker and Hamilton, both of the Federal Club, the latter proving the' winner, reaching his 300 six points ahead of his opponent. This game was unusually closely contested, and never more than a medium break separated the players. The best breaks were—Tucker, 44, 34, 30, 21: Hamilton,' 24, 23, 20. To-night at 7 o'clock. Moore, G.P.O. Pastimes Cluii, plays Rait. Wellington Working Men's Club; and at 8.30, Congdon, Commercial and Farmers' Club, Masterton, plavs Holfcins, G.P.O. Pastimes Club. s '
