Prize schedules are available now, and an inspection reveals a very comprehensive and generous list of. prizes and trophies. An important feature of the "show always is. the jumping, ' which constitutes ono of the greatest
attractions to tho public outside stockbreeders. The open hunters' competition has been made- doubly attractive to compotitiors this year by tho increase of; first prize-money to fifty guineas, nnd'itje expected that a very large field of the picked jumpers from both islands will compete. Special prizes have been allotted for Eomney, Lincoln, and commercial fleeces of any breed or oross.., This should comniand !i large display of wool, which will bo lioth ■ interostitiß and educative. Space does not permit a survey of tho whole schedule, but copies can be had on application to the .secretary, Box 85, Pnlmerston North. Entries for schools, needlework, cookery, and oliotograohy must be made by October 5. Jive stock, competitions, and wool classes ■by October 12.
