WELLINGTON FOOTBALL ASSOCIATION

The weekly meeting of the Wellington Football Association was held at the Y.M.C.A. last evening. Present: Mr. A. E. Wells (chairman), Messrs. W. Auld, C. Webster, C. Ward, H. Yeoman, A. Williams (hon. secretary). The Third Division team to meet Canterbury will be picked on Saturday nt Tho- Y.M.C.A. Sixth A team Tpl'l play at Martinborough on Saturday week, September 20. Messrs. Thomas and Spolsky sent their report rc the Fifth A hoys trip to Christcluirch, and were thanked by the committee for their services. Mr. Windley, manager ot the Brown Shield team, also sent a report ro the Brown Shield match at Canterbury, which resulted in a win for Canterbury by 1 coal tb nil. The manager stated that the conduct of the Wellington team on torn was beyond reproach., and that he was honoured by the position he was placed in by the Wellington Football Association. - Tlie Auckland Football Association wrote asking for a match with Wellington seniors at Wellington, on September 28. It was decided to ask Auckland to play in Wellington on that date. \ SCHOOLS CHAMPIONSHIP. The transfer of J. Burko from Fourth to Fifth Division was not granted, and it was decided by the committee to' arant 110 more transfers this season.
