MEDALS PRESENTED. At the Drill Hall, Buckle Street, lnej ight the Governor-General presented liree decorations won during the war. n every case the soldier who won llio lop.our is now dead, and the decoraions were received by relatives. Ihere fere 1400 Territorials and Senior Cadets in parade, and also a small body of '"rcnch reservists. His Excellency said hat it was the King's command that ic should present certain decorations in His Majesty's behalf. Mrs. J. Keir (widow), Seatoun, re:oived the Military Cross awarded to Captain J. Keir (deceased), -l6t Battalion Wellington Regiment. ' Mr. W.. H. Gavin (brother), on bomil' of Mrs. L. Gavin (mother), Hat' ton Street, Karori, received the Military Cross and the Bar awarded to Captain N. J. 11. Gnvin (deceased), R.A.M.C. Mrs. Tait (mother), Stirling Street, Karori, received the Militarv Cross awarded to Lieutenant K. J. 'Hut (doceased), Auckland Mounted "Rifles.
