CHARGE OF CONCEALING A DESERTER

By Telegraph.—Press Association. Duncdin, September 4. At the Police Court to-day, Daniel Christopher Flanagan and John Francis Flanagan were chargcd with haYbouring and concealing their brother, Edward Joseph Flanagan, a desertor from the Expeditionary Force. It was stated that, whon the Military Folic© went to the house of accused's parents, accused denied that their brother was there. A search being made, he was discovered upstairs. The defence was that accused had no dominion over tho house, and that the telling of an untruth regarding the brother's presence could not bo construed into harbouring or concealing. Accused reserved their defence, and were committed for trial.
