NEW COALFIELD AT POINT ELIZABETH
LARGE AREA OF FIRST-CLASS COAL. By Telegraph—Press Association Creymouth, September 2. Tho new coalfield which the Minister of Mines stated had been found at Point Elizabeth is seven miles from Grpymouth, along tho North Beach. An expert who is in. touch with' the find states that, tho coal-bearing area will prove of great magnitude, comprising close on 400 acres, and containing first-class coal,', easy of access. It is estimated that tho present will give twenty years' work. The' outcrop was ltdund , along the bed of a creek, boring operations having revealed what is stated. . ■ . .
