It was resolved to postpono consideration pending the receipt of ranger's report as to approximate Quantity, position, and value of the flax.

John Wills applied for a, lease of Sections 5 and 16, Block IT, Pohauuina Township, 2 roods. It was resolved to grant him a permit to'occupy them from year to year under Section 27 of The Public Koscrves, etc., Act, 1908, at a rent of £1 per annum, Bubject to the usual conditions. Tho Horowhenua County Council applied for a temporary leaso of I'.E.lt. 1, Block XVI, Levin Township, 1 rood 32 perches. It was resolved to grant the council a nermit to occupy from year to year, under Section 8 (7) of The Public Bodies Leases Act, I$C«, at a rent of £2 per annum, with protection for fencing up to its value at date of termination. A report from the ranger was received on Sections 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, Hiwera- Yillnge, 5 acres. It was resolved to offer Dr. Barnet a lease under Section 130. of The Land Act, 1908, from year to year, at a rental of £& per annum. W. S. Jolly for the occupation of this section at a rent to be fixed bj t"ie Commissioner.
